Of the nine transatlantic systems, four are wholly owned and the rest are held in consortium or on long-term IRU. Either way you are buying from the operator that runs the route, not from a reseller sitting on top of one.
Long-term IRUs if you want to hold the capacity outright, flexible leases without a long commitment, fully managed wavelengths, a Managed Fibre Network we run on your behalf, or dark fibre if you would rather run your own equipment. The model is yours to pick; the route is the same either way.
It varies by route and changes as we build, so we would rather tell you the current position than publish a number that ages. Give us the endpoints and we will come back with what is available and when.
Terrestrial and subsea run as one meshed network, so there are multiple alternative paths between any two points rather than a single route with a backup behind it. Corridor thinking plans those paths against the events that actually take networks out, and nine diverse transatlantic systems sit behind the ocean crossing. Because the mesh is ours to design, diversity is engineered rather than assembled from other people's paths.
Fast where we are already on-net at both ends, which across 500+ DWDM PoPs covers most of what carriers ask for. Where we are not, we build, and we will give you the timeline before you commit to anything.
